Membership 2024/25

,

Message to ASC members (past and present):

As we approach the 2024/25 winter season the Committee felt that the members (past and present) would appreciate a brief update regarding the Ski Club and access to the RM Condor ski slope. We also have a request for members to either opt in/opt out of future communications from the Club.

Membership for the 2024/2025 season is now open and we look forward to welcoming everyone back to the Club. To renew your membership visit https://www.arbroathskiclub.co.uk/membership/ .

This year we have introduced a dedicated Rollerski membership at a discounted rate

Annual membership costs (excluding PayPal fees) are:
Adult – £17
Junior (under 21 years of age) – £12
Family – £37

Rollerski membership costs (excluding PayPal fees) are:
Adult / Junior – £10
Family – £20

Remember there are many benefits to the full Ski Club membership with the following discounts being available for our members (please note these benefits do not yet apply to Rollerski members):

 15% discount at Craigdon Mountain Sports, Perth
 10% discount at Ellis Brigham UK Stores
 10% discount at Scottish ski resorts

The club also intend organising the following activities throughout the coming
season:

 Glenshee ski days (subject to snow conditions)
 Nordic ski trips in our local area (subject to snow conditions)
 Aberdeen dry ski slope – lessons and/or free ski
 Roller ski programme for beginners and intermediates

Your continued support for the Ski Club would be much appreciated as your membership fees helps support the Club with it’s ongoing costs (Snowsport Scotland affiliation which provides all our insurance and Child Protection support amongst other things), website costs, auditors fees, instructor CPD costs etc.

The Committee are desperate to make sure we are able to hit the ground running again with lessons as soon as the slope is repaired at RM Condor but we need the support of the membership in order to do that. Current and past members are being encouraged to renew their membership for this current season. Membership costs haven’t risen for a number of years and they are remaining unchanged for Season 2024/25.

Regarding the slope, we are in regular communication with RM Condor who have now confirmed that the ski slope will remain inoperable for this coming winter season. We have though been advised that support is in place to fix the slope though the timeline for completion remains unclear. We are delighted to hear this as it’s a step in the right direction. We will write out to members and post on an update on social media when we know more.

The committee is being supported by one of our local Angus Council councillors and Snowsport Scotland to lobby RM Condor and we are grateful for this support.

Thank you
Arbroath Ski Club Committee
